The high-temperature oxidation behavior of cold-sprayed Ni-20Cr and Ni-50Cr coatings on SAE 213-T22 boiler steel has been investigated at 900 °C in air under cyclic heating and cooling conditions for 50 cycles. The kinetics of oxidation of coated and bare boiler steel has been established with the help of weight change measurements. It was observed that all the coated and bare steels obeyed parabolic rate law of oxidation. X-ray diffraction, FE-SEM/EDAX and X-ray mapping techniques were used to analyse the oxidation products of the coated and uncoated boiler steel. The uncoated steel suffered corrosion in the form of intense spalling and peeling of its oxide scale, which was perhaps due to the formation of unprotective Fe2O3 oxide scale. Both the coatings showed better resistance to the air oxidation as compared to the uncoated steel. The Ni-50Cr coating was found to be more protective than the Ni-20Cr-coated steel. The formation of oxides and spinels of nickel and chromium may be contributing to the development of air oxidation resistance in the coatings. 相似文献

Allyl alcohol (AA), acrylonitrile (AN), methyl methacrylate (MMA), monomers and monomer mixtures AA+AN, AA+MMA were used to conserve and consolidate Beech and Spruce. After impregnation, copolymerisation and polymerisation were accomplished by gamma irradiation. The fine structure of wood+polymer(copolymer) composites was investigated by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). It was observed that copolymer obtained from AA+MMA monomer mixture showed the optimum compatibility. The compressional strength and Brinell Hardness Numbers determined for untreated and treated wood samples indicated that the mechanical strength of wood+copolymer composites was increased. It was found that the mechanical strength of the wood samples containing the AA+MMA copolymer was higher than the others. In the presence of P(AA/MMA), at highest conversion, the compressive strength perpendicular to the fibres in Beech and Spruce increased approximately 100 times. The water uptake capacity of wood+copolymer composites was observed to decrease by more than 50% relative to the original samples, and biodegradation did not take place. 相似文献

研究了在1 mol/L磷酸介质中,钒(V)对KIO4氧化靛蓝胭脂红褪色反应的催化作用及草酸钠的活化作用,建立了一种测定钒的方法。无草酸钠时该体系为准零级反应,表观活化能为76.7 kJ/mol,在22℃时钒量在0~5mg/L范围内与?A呈线性,检出限为0.1 mg/L。在草酸钠存在下则为准一级反应,表观活化能为60.1 kJ/mol,钒量在0~mg/L范围内与1g(A0/A)呈线性,检出限为0.02mg/L。提高介质酸度,可显著降低反应温度。在NaF及尿素存在下,大多数常见离子无干扰。本法简便快速,选择性和灵敏度较高,用于钢中微量钒的直接测定,结果满意。 相似文献

Polyethylene terephthalates (PETs) with well‐defined chemical structures were prepared by molecular design, and the effect of the chemical structure on the physical properties of PET was investigated. Hydroxyl‐group end‐capped PETs with ηinh = 0.4–0.6 dL/g exhibited a viscosity behavior similar to Bingham fluids, although other PETs with similar molecular weights (MWs) showed Newtonian flow behavior. This rheological feature was more noticeable for hydroxyl‐group end‐capped branched PETs. In addition, hydroxyl‐group end‐capped branched PETs became solidlike from 80 rad/s as the frequency was increased. On the other hand, hydroxyl end‐capped linear PETs showed a noticeable viscoelastic transition peak around 20 rad/s. High‐density polyethylene nanocomposites with different expanded graphite (EG) contents (0.34–1.80 wt %) were prepared by polymerization‐filling technique using an industrial heterogeneous catalyst ( cat K ), and characterized using a range techniques: melting flow index (MFI), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The MFI data showed that EG acts as a plasticizer decreasing melt viscosity in comparison to neat HDPE produced exclusively by cat K . DSC results showed that EG nucleated the HDPE crystallization as established by the increased crystallization temperature, and the degree of crystallinity. HDPE/EG nanocomposites displayed a significant improvement in the flexural (increased from 1458 to 1831 MPa), and storage modulus (increased from 122 to 1627 MPa) at only 1.80 wt % EG content. Abstract An optical autoclave for phase studies on mixtures in the temperature range from 80 to 373 K and for pressures up to 200 MPa is described. The cell is fitted with sapphire windows and employs magnetic stirring. Measurements are performed according to the synthetical (e.g. by visual observation) or analytical method (e.g. by sampling and online gaschromatography). Abstract Numerous studies have demonstrated the importance to include pressure as a kinetic parameter in the elucidation of inorganic reaction mechanisms. These studies have specially led to a better understanding and a systematic classification of solvent exchange and ligand substitution reactions of octahedral complexes of transition metal elements. The mechanistic picture for substution reactions on square planar complexes is well established and involves a concurrent bimolecular attack by solvent and the nucleophile on the substrate with a considerable discrimination among different entering groups. The search for factor promoting the conversion of the normal associative mode of activation into a dissociative process has then attracted much attention.
